Mission Statement

Effective, Just and Humane Responses To Crime and Its Causes

Providing crime prevention services for over 60 years, the John Howard Society is a non-profit organization with branches located in all major cities across Canada. The Society offer programs that aim to reduce recidivism among people who have been in trouble with the law and prevent delinquent behaviour among youth who may be at risk of offending. The John Howard Society believes that crime can be reduced through social and educational programs and the active involvement of an informed community.
